Battery Base Safety & Fitment
Our battery bases and adapters are 3D-printed nylon and carbon fiber composite accessories. They are not manufactured, endorsed or sponsored by Milwaukee, Snap-On, Makita, DeWalt or any other power tool brand. Brand names are used only to describe fitment.
Before every use
- Inspect the base. Look for cracks, whitening at the corners, or a loose fit on the battery. If it is cracked, stop using it.
- Check the latch. The battery should click and hold. A base that lets the pack rock is about to let it drop.
- Do not exceed the load you would put on the tool itself. These are holders and adapters, not lifting or clamping fixtures.
Heat is the real enemy
Composite parts soften well before they melt, and a hot truck cab is enough to do it. Do not store a printed tool in a vehicle in direct sun, on a dashboard, or near a heater. If a part has visibly deformed, retire it — it has lost its dimensional accuracy and will not hold a battery square.
Electrical safety
- Never charge a battery through an adapter. Nothing we make is a charger.
- Do not use a base with a damaged, swollen or leaking battery pack. Dispose of the pack properly.
- Remove the battery when the tool is not in use, especially in storage.
- Keep adapters away from water and brake clean soak tanks — the composite resists splashes, not immersion.
Fitment notes
- Bases are listed by battery platform and capacity (for example M18 XC 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 High Output). Pick the capacity that matches your pack — the housing profiles differ.
- If a pack fits tight, do not force it. Check that you ordered the right capacity variant.
